Lawn Maintenance Supervisor

  • The Lawn Maintenance Supervisor is a highly detailed and experienced lawn maintenance professional who is proficient in all aspects of lawn mowing and maintenance services. The lawn maintenance supervisor’s main objective is to lead a crew of one to four team members to maintain properties efficiently while holding themselves and those around them to the highest standard of quality. They can work with minimal supervision and provide a safe environment for crew members and clients. Our ideal applicants are team-oriented leaders with strong written and verbal communication skills and high attention to detail.

    • Arrive to Shop prepared for work with: lunch, water, and proper uniform/dress at least thirty minutes before start of shift. Work weeks are Monday to Friday from 7 am to 5:30 pm, depending on season and workload.

    • Communicate with Lawn Maintenance Foreman to determine the goals for the week, and convey them to your crew.

    • Communicate with foreman via text or email, as well as in person, about any problems with equipment, trucks, or employees. Identify any foreseeable problems, along with suggested solutions.

    • Supervise the loading and unloading of trucks and trailers in the morning and afternoon, ensure that all equipment necessary for daily tasks is stored and strapped down for safe transport, and delegate to crew to prepare for the day.

    • Maintain and promote high standards of organization and cleanliness of jobsites, trucks, and all equipment used.

    • Ensure that all members of the bed/garden maintenance team are dressed appropriately in company uniform and necessary safety equipment.

    • Perform all essential lawn maintenance activities proficiently, including mowing, trimming, and blowing.

    • Supervise the work of 1-4 crew members to ensure proper safety, quality and efficiency.

    • Communication professionally with customers and clients when necessary, and direct them to management when appropriate.

    • Ensure that all paperwork is filled out correctly and submitted on time.

    • Educate yourself on safety procedures and supervise the work of your crew members to ensure proper safety at all times, while maintaining and promoting quality and efficiency, and keeping everybody on schedule.

Garden Installation and Pruning Supervisor

  • The Garden Installation and Pruning Maintenance Supervisor is a detail-oriented professional who plays a pivotal role. They will need a vast knowledge of the proper horticultural maintenance and installation of annuals, perennials, shrubs, and deciduous trees, along with the ability to read and execute blueprints. They will need to interact with designers and customers at times, and coordinate with other crew members to provide the best service possible. They must execute proper installation and pruning maintenance techniques and safely utilize all appropriate equipment and power tools. Personal integrity, punctuality and a strong work ethic are absolutely necessary to perform this job to the highest expectations of Pinnacle. There should be a willingness to learn proper techniques, as well as further their education and knowledge about horticulture, plant maintenance, and installations.

Hardscape and Planting Installation Supervisor

  • The Hardscape and Planting Installation Supervisor is a highly detailed and creative professional who is experienced in all aspects of site-work, equipment operation, dry and wet laid stone walls, flatwork, veneer, as well as planting. The Hardscape Supervisor’s main function is to oversee, train, and work with a small crew of 1-2 team members to complete projects to the highest degree of quality, while maintaining safety and efficiency.

    • Arrive to Shop prepared for work with: lunch, water, and proper uniform/dress at least thirty minutes before start of shift. Work weeks are Monday to Friday from 7 am to 5:30 pm, depending on season and workload.

    • Communicate with the Hardscape and Planting Supervisor to determine the goals for the week.

    • Communicate with supervisor via text or email about any problems with equipment or trucks as soon as they arise.

    • Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks in the morning and afternoon, and ensure that all equipment necessary for daily tasks is stored and strapped down for safe transport.

    • Maintain high standards of organization and cleanliness of jobsites, trucks, shop, and all equipment used.

    • Educate yourself on Safety procedures to ensure proper safety at all times, while maintaining and promoting quality and efficiency.

    • Conduct daily inspection of tools, trucks and mechanical equipment used by your crew and report any findings.

    • Provide consistent communication with supervisor throughout the project.

    • Adhere to plans and quality of work.

    • Communicate professionally and courteously with clients, when necessary.

    • Learn and comprehend the principles, responsibilities, roles, and systems at Pinnacle Properties. Have a comprehensive knowledge of trained systems and methods.

    • Responsibilities may fluctuate from those listed based on the season and the needs of the company.

    • Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment and materials

    • Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, be on feet for 8-10 hours a day, and carry out strenuous physical tasks.

    • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through workday

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

    • Work near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis

    • Work outdoors in various conditions including heat, humidity, rain, dust, dampness, noise and cold

    • Ability to work extended hours (ie: more than 40 per week if needed). Some weekends may be required to accommodate clients’ needs and work around weather conditions.

    • Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in the hardscape industry.

    • Capable of operating tools of the trade efficiently and safely (ie: dump trucks, skid steer, excavator, loader, tractor, hand power equipment, and trailers).

    • Capable of safely and securely transporting heavy equipment.

    • Effective communication skills are expected so that you can carry out verbal instructions, and as questions when needed.

    • A positive attitude towards work and co-workers is a must.

    • Superior time management skills required, as well as the ability to communicate clearly through text and email.

    • Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team.

    • Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record are required.

    • Base Pay: Based on Experience.
